The Biblical Culture of Peace

In a mosaic of human inventions, like a fire or a plough, a wheel or a bridge, literacy or a book, books - together with bread - represent the greatest invention of the mankind.

Nothing so grand and valuable as bread or a book has ever been discovered. The book has become the greatest heeling and the sanatorium for human soul. But, the book of all books is definitely one book only - the Bible. The Bible is God's greatest gift to man ever, the book that speaks the truth of God and His criteria for man's life on Earth. It speaks to us all of what needs to be done for God. The Bible had been written by 40 different people throughout the period of 1600 years, starting since 1513 A.C. It had been compiled from 66 minor books, today representing the most spread book ever since the great invention by a German Johannes Guttenberg and his printing machine. Until today, roughly 4 billion copies of the Bible (complete or in parts) have been printed so far. The Bible or certain parts of it have been translated to more than 2100 languages and dialects. It consists of the Old Testa-ment and the New Testament. The New Testament was brought to life in the year 841. For two thousand years now Christianity, headed by Jesus Christ, is bringing nobility and inspiration to human hearts, being the first global movement of goodness. It is facing now new challenges of hope and wony. We are joyful now that we can give to Jesus for His 2000th birthday the first ever Biblical garden of Peace.

Croatian naive artists shaped 33 images of characters from the Old and New Testaments - the rest of us planted 33 conifers in this garden, to symbolize His earthly years of life. Let little Jesus be our inspiration and our role model. On the eve of 1st January, International Day of World Peace, let's show to the world that by unity of the little, we can make the world a great place. The Biblical garden of Peace in Kalnik will help the young develop sensibility for visual arts and help educate them through Art.

The greatest purpose and the meaning of cre-ation, building and existence of this Biblical garden of Peace is the unique effort for the unique method of education of the young, based on the Christian civilization.

We are happy and proud to have completed the first phase in building of this Biblical garden of Peace. In the following years, this project will bring a series of surprises and events, so help us God. Our thanks goes to everyone who helped us realize this unusual idea, but above all, we thank those who refused to help us.
