The First Biblical Garden on Earth

The year 2000 in the wicked history of mankind is definitely the unique year. It is a year of hope and a year of anxietes and worries. For the first time, the mankind has expressed a wish to clean up the mess it is created, to feel forgiveness, remorse and revaluation - to settle and square accounts with it self.

On all levels people are asking the big question: where are we really going to? There is a long list of misfortunes and disasters, both controlled and - more so - those, uncontrolled by man.

Unfortunately, the planet Earth is no longer a home of joy and happiness for man. Man has learned everything, but one thing - he never learned to tolerate another man. Until now, earthly experiences have proven that a man needs a major reform and change - otherwise, today's generations of mankind will be the last link in chain for humans.

So, in order to improve the "blood count" of the misfortunate mankind - at least for a moment - the international community, through its United Nations Organization proclaimed this year 2000 as the Holy Year and the Year of 2000th Birthday of Jesus Christ, as well as the International Year of Culture of Peace.

Also, the UN General Assembly supports the Project BETLEHEM 2000 (Betlehem, The House of Bread). This year happens to be also a Year of Olympism, which in trurth is the first synthesis of human spirit, whose heart is the Olympic Truce - the first and the only prohibition of war ever, for a period of time.

To all of us, this unique year gives an opportunity and a calling to purify our hearts, windows of soul, clear out our minds and that we all try to excel ourselves and become better persons than we are.

The world centers are not only big cities and urban surroundings - but also the little communities with people of pure hearts and souls æ who warm everything around, with their kindness and noble conscience, inspire with goodness and provide future inspiration for new generations to come. People no longer wish to serve only as disposable material for History.

Calling and challenge from the big world has been taken up by Kalnik Elementary School in Kalnik, Croatia. Its teachers and students, as well as towns-people of Kalnik in fact accepted the initiative by renowned promoter of peace Milorad Kovacevic, to establish within their schoolyard the first ever Biblical garden of Peace.
